Epilepsy: A Spectrum Disorder

Abstract:



One of the most prevalent and disabling neurologic conditions, epilepsy is still poorly understood in terms of its detailed pathophysiology and, consequently, the rationale for most of its treatments. The objective of this article is to introduce neuroscientists to aspects that may be suitable for scientific investigation by reviewing the clinical aspects of seizures and epilepsy. Neuroscientists can create basic and translational research questions by defining seizures and epilepsy, reviewing diagnostic techniques, talking about various clinical syndromes, and taking into account aspects of differential diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis after those which drugs are used in epilepsy are also added in review and in the classification of drugs, the specific mechanism of action of particular drug also listed and the concentration required for dosing is also listed. After that the non-pharmacological Approaches are explained in that the Techniques include under neurulation and neuro modulation are listed. The whole review can explain all about epilepsy.
