Abstract:

Cancer drug development has witnessed remarkable progress in recent years, transitioning from traditional chemotherapy to more targeted and personalized therapies. This comprehensive review focuses on the latest advancements in cancer treatment, including molecular-targeted therapies, immunotherapies, and personalized medicine. The development of these therapies has significantly improved patient outcomes by targeting cancer cells more precisely while minimizing harm to healthy tissues. However, challenges such as drug resistance, high treatment costs, and varying patient responses continue to complicate treatment efficacy. This review also discusses the role of biomarkers and artificial intelligence in accelerating drug development, personalizing treatments, and improving early cancer detection. Additionally, the integration of novel drug delivery systems and combination therapies holds promise for overcoming existing obstacles in cancer treatment. The future of oncology lies in refining these innovative approaches to ensure more effective and individualized therapeutic strategies.
