Abstract:

Antimicrobial peptides (AMPs) represent a critical component of the innate immune response and hold great potential in promoting skin health. With increasing concerns about antibiotic resistance and the limitations of traditional treatments, AMPs offer a promising alternative. Recent advancements in AMP delivery strategies have significantly improved their efficacy, stability, and targeted action. This review focuses on the latest developments in AMP-based therapies for skin health, including their mechanisms, delivery systems, and therapeutic applications, such as wound healing, skin infections, and dermatological conditions.
